Salary: $70-90k+

Location: 100% Remote but must have residency in CT, GA, MA, NM, RI or WY

Job Description:
– An exciting opportunity for an HIM professional desiring to work in a newly created Outpatient Coding Supervisor role directly for a health system managing a remote team
– Employer is open to considering strong OP Coder’s who have previous leadership experience
– Ability to draft coding guidelines, research coding concepts, provide in-services and interact with other departments is needed to be successful in this role
– Inpatient Coding experience desired but not required
– Manage and work the edit/denial coding queues for Inpatient and Outpatient services
– Lead a team of approximately 10 IP/OP Coder’s
– Position will report to the HIM Operations Manager who will mentor the candidate selected

Requirements:
– RHIA or RHIT
– CCS or COC
– Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
– Cerner experience desired
– Experience and knowledge in Outpatient Coding. Having hands-on OP skills is important.
– Seeking a candidate interested in having the opportunity to work in a Supervisory role. Ideal candidate with have previous leadership experience.
– Must live in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Rhode Island or Wyoming
