Job Description:
– Are you an Inpatient Coding Manager seeking a stable and rewarding Corporate leadership opportunity working directly for a not-for-profit Health System?
– Seeking an experienced Inpatient Coding Manager who will lead a United States only team of approximately 30 Inpatient Coder’s (23 internal/6 external)
– Must have strong hands-on Inpatient Coding skills, capable of reviewing complex cases as needed for the team. This will be a working manager position.
– This role will work closely with the CDI team so prior experience working with CDI is highly desired. There is also a dedicated Audit/Review team so the focus here is strictly IP Coding.
– Ideal candidate will hit the ground running, be self-motivated, support the team through change and be technologically savvy
Requirements:
– Hands-on current, advanced Inpatient Coding skills including Trauma cases
– At least 5 years of Inpatient Coding experience and a minimum of 3 years of Coding Management experience over a similarly sized team
– Bachelor’s Degree preferred
– RHIA, RHIT or CCS
– EPIC and 3M 360 experience preferred
– This Health System only has the ability to hire from Alaska, Oregon, Texas or Washington, must have residence in one of those states
