Job Description:
– An exciting Inpatient Coding leadership opportunity working directly for a not-for-profit Health System
– This Lead HIM Coding Specialist opportunity will serve as the subject matter expert in Inpatient Coding/DRG Validation and is responsible for performing high-level second level reviews of coded data
– Experience working closely with CDI, Coding and Compliance teams to identify trends, mitigate risk and strengthen audit readiness
– Communicates professionally with co-workers, management and hospital staff
– Ideal candidate will have experience working in Meditech(EHR) and 3M CAC(Encoder)
Requirements:
– At least 3 years of hands-on Inpatient Coding experience
– At least 2 years of DRG validation, coding audit leadership and CDI experience
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
– CCS credential
– RHIA, RHIT, CDIP, CCDS certifications preferred
