Douglas M. Ellie
Doug is the President of H.I.M. Recruiters where he works with HIM professionals and clients on a daily basis.
In 2009, he earned a certificate in Healthcare Informatics from St. Petersburg College. Doug also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Florida. Prior to joining HIM Recruiters Doug worked in several financial roles most recently as the Chief Financial Officer & IT Manager for one of the largest real estate companies in the state of Florida.
He holds an active Florida real estate license and assists our candidates with their relocation needs as needed.

Perry has held positions from HIM clerk to department director. He has also served a Health Information educator and in numerous volunteer leadership roles at the local, state and national levels. He is a former President and Distinguished Service Award recipient of the Florida Information Management Association. Perry is currently “thrilled” to be serving a three year term on the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Board of Directors.
His Career Management expertise has been shared in numerous presentations and publications including the Journal of AHIMA and the book, HIM Journeys: A Career Guide for Health Information Management Professionals.
